Lizard Actometer to measure Acceleration

This Actometer was designed for measuring acceleration by legless lizards from the wetlands outside Lawrence.

We chose to use optical sensing to detect the movement of the subject down the track.  However, since it needs to operate in daylight, the LEDs were modulated and the detector signal was demodulated to discriminate against cw sunlight.  (With Doug Eifler, Haskell Indian Nations University.)
