Custom Instrumentation Solutions for Scientific and Engineering Challenges

Creation of custom instrumentation to meet scientific challenges:  the mission of the Instrumentation Design Laboratory

Since the beginning of science, researchers have found their work limited by the inability to make a particular measurement or to control a device or process.  These are the problems solved by instrumentation, and when that instrumentation is unavailable, a collaboration with the Instrumentation Design Laboratory may lead to a solution.

The IDL at KU works across the range of scientific disciplines to create solutions that lead to new or better observations.
