Shutter Controller and Programmable Sequencer

Micro-Controller

This controller has two functions: 

  • To properly power and actuate a UniBlitz mechanical shutter
  • To implement a programmable timing sequence

The implementation is based on a microcontroller and a DAC (digital-to-analog converter).  The DAC sets the threshold for stimulus pulses, and the microcontroller times the sequences that were designed in a graphical user interface.

This sequencer was designed and built for the Michael Johnson group.
