Teaching Module: Microcontrollers & Interfacing

µControllers/Interfacing

The IDL has developed several teaching tools ranging from a graduate course in electronics and computers for scientists to short courses to self-contained modules on various aspects of electronics technology.

One module, illustrated at the right, is a series of experiments using micro-controllers that can be interfaced to a variety of sensors and actuators.  With hands-on experiments, students learn to control a wide variety of real-world devices, sense status, digitize signals, and transmit data between devices.
